  • The price given is valid for 30 days.
  • Your gates/fences will be created using a natural material. As with all natural timber products that are exposed to the elements, your timber will be affected by the weather and the conditions in which it is stored and used. The timber will tend to react to extremes of sunshine and wind and this may lead to visible signs of 'splitting or checking' or movement/twisting in the wood – this is nature at work. Such effects will be minimised by the use of a microporous (breathable) wood preservative. We recommend that the timber be re-treated every year. We are unable to give any guarantee against and equally do not accept responsibility for splitting/cracking or movement/twisting in the timber.
  • We will not accept responsibility for any damage caused by incorrect assembly of fittings, incorrect hanging or lack of treatment to gates. Should this service be arranged through Crocketts we will ensure the fitter has public liability insurance. Should there be any concerns over the hanging of the gate once the gate has been fitted these must be directed to the fitter.
  • We accept no responsibility for the strength of existing posts/piers, wall plates, gate furniture or brickwork. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the existing brickwork etc is of a suitable strength to support the weight of the new gates/timber.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to seek planning permission where necessary. Should gates be ordered before permission sought and subsequently not give, the outstanding balance will be payable.
  • Balance to be paid in full on day of completion. We reserve the right to charge 15% interest on all overdue accounts.
  • Title to the goods shall remain vested in the Company until payment has been received in full.
  • We require a 30% deposit on place of order for all gates
